How To Get a 5 Star Park in Jurassic World Evolution 2
Jurassic World Evolution 2 just launched, and now, you want your park to be the very best. Here’s the information we’ve gathered to take your park all the way to 5 stars.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 brings a new park-building experience for dinosaur fans to enjoy, but the wealth of new features can sometimes be a bit confusing.
From aquatic reptiles to different biomes to new building systems, the sequel adds a whole host of additional factors to make a successful park. Here, we’ve gathered all the necessary info on Jurassic World Evolution 2‘s new Park Rating system so your island can be the best of the best.
HOW TO GET TO A 5 STAR PARK
To start, the main thing to prioritize in the game is Income. It is the major factor in determining your island’s rating, taken from the number of guests your island attracts and how satisfied they are.
Income is based on your park’s ticket sales (i.e. number of visitors attending) and amenity revenue (i.e. visitors buying things from park shops). This means that you want to focus your park-building efforts on attracting as many guests as possible and making sure they’re satisfied with their experience.
The first step in increasing ticket sales and attracting guests is Appeal. After all, guests want to go to a dangerously exciting park that still provides a sense of comfort. You can successfully attract more guests by focusing on Guest Approval, Guest Comfort, and Path Capacity.
The best way to gain guest approval is by focusing on your main attractions – the dinosaurs. Based on the first Jurassic World Evolution, a greater diversity of dinosaur species will lead to more interest and therefore greater Appeal.
You can set up as many different dinosaurs as possible in different enclosures around the park. That’ll help you spread your enclosures across the park and plan for a future transport system for your guests. Just make sure to keep dinosaur visibility in mind when building enclosures – this includes viewing platforms, any kinds of windows, and even gyrospheres for tours.
Additionally, genetically modifying your dinosaurs will get you closer to the 100% completed genome for the perfect dinosaur specimen. Having a lot of high-quality dinosaurs will boost Appeal, bringing more guests to your park.
Secondly, Guest Comfort is most closely tied to your park’s buildings. A park filled with just dinosaur enclosures is an interesting one, but not necessarily the most accommodating for your guests.
You want to build out a few hotels both to increase your park’s capacity and your guest’s comfort. Building hotels will also increase your ticket sales and your overall Income, so they’re an effective 2-for-1 for your Park Rating. Though buildings can certainly be expensive, especially in the early game, placing enclosures, restrooms, and a few attractions nearby hotels will go a long way.
Careful with overcrowding though – too many hotels will cause a massive influx of visitors, which can actually tank your rating instead.
Additionally, the shopping buildings and attractions will improve your overall Amenity Revenue. Focusing on the amenities and attractions that cater best to your Guest Demographics will attract additional guests and increase your overall Income – not to mention provide a better park experience too!
Lastly, Path Capacity is the final factor you need to focus on during park construction. Aside from your overall park capacity, Path Capacity deals directly with the paths you place in your park. Wider, nicer paths in main areas will open up more foot traffic so that more guests can traverse across your park.
Paths are now a hugely important system in Jurassic World Evolution 2, so don’t underestimate their impact on your park! As both decoration and a useful organization method, paths will be a great early game transport system for your park. Until you can get the monorail, take advantage of paths and play around with your path capacity to ensure the maximum comfort for your crowds.
As a nice bonus, the improved paths will also help with overcrowded areas. If you have a busy thoroughfare or otherwise narrow areas, wider paths will decrease crowding and make your park safer overall. A safer park means greater Guest Comfort, which will all increase your total Income too.
