How to get Cloth Fiber and Linen in New World

To be able to get Cloth Fiber, you first need to locate Hemp plants in the game. However, you can’t get Hemp plants just like that. First of all, you need to make sure that you have a sickle.

To craft a sickle, players need the following items.

  • Flint (1)
  • Wood (1)
  • Forge Station (Tier I)

Once players have these items, they can simply head to the Forge and craft the Sickle. With the Sickle ready, the next big task is to locate Hemp plants. Thankfully, unlike other games, New World makes it much easier to locate resources.

All you need to do is the use game’s map effectively. First, open up the map and click on Resource Locations. This will show all the locations with a particular resource, and you can easily find the places where you can find Hemp plants.

After you have harvested enough fiber, you are all set to craft some linen and a plethora of other items. For now, we will just talk about linen. To get linen, you first need to locate a Loom. These can be found scattered across the game’s map.

You need 4 Fiber to be able to craft Linen, so make sure you are carrying enough Fiber depending on the amount of Linen you need.
