So, you've been brave and have started your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island all over from scratch. You've met your first two new villagers and the nook trio and have started to get settled into your tent and your next round of island living.

But as he always is, Mr. Nook is a demanding racoon and wants you to gather up a range of crafting materials to help develop his island further. Of course, this takes time though.

So, to help speed things up, here are all of the ways you can get Iron and Gold Nuggets quickly in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

How to Get Iron and Gold Nuggets Fast in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Here are some of the best ways you can get Iron and Gold Nuggets fast in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Hitting Rocks Daily

This one may seem a little obvious, but that doesn't make it any less important.

Located on your island are six different rocks, each containing crafting materials. It's up to you to hit these rocks, to get all nine materials out of them, giving you the best chance of getting Iron and Gold Nuggets. We have a few tips to make you successful.

First, you're going to want to dig three holes directly behind you like so:

Once you've got the holes behind you, you won't rebound away from the rocks, allowing you to successfully hit them nine times in a row.

The other piece of advice we have is make sure you've got a relatively new shovel or axe, as should yours break, you won't have time to hit the rock any more.

Sadly, for this guide, my rock only yielded one Iron Nugget, but you can get lucky enough to get 5, 6, 7, 8 or even 9.

Time Traveling

Of course, you can only hit your six rocks a total of nine times a day, giving the opportunity to get 54 Iron/Gold Nuggets on your island. That doesn't mean you can't time travel.

If you head forward a day, you can hit your rocks again. You can then repeat this process multiple times and reap the rewards

Visiting Other Islands

If you're sick of time traveling and the process behind it, you can always visit other islands and smack the rocks there.

Nook Miles tickets, while pricey, is the best place to start. 2000 Nook Miles and you can visit another island to fish, catch bugs, collect plants and most importantly, hit rocks.

Sadly, you won't be able to hit rocks on a friends island, so you're out of luck there.

Relying on the Good Will of Others

If you have a friend or family member who's island is much older than yours, they may have an abundance of Iron or Gold Nuggets they're willing to share. It can't hurt to ask.
