Last year, the Victory Pokemon, Victini, made its debut and before that, players have received the likes of Articuno, Lugia, Celebi and Jirachi.

This time out, going hand-in-hand with the musical theme, players have the opportunity to encounter Meloetta, a monster which is known as the Melody Pokemon.

Here’s how to get Meloetta at Pokemon GO Fest 2021 and whether or not you can be lucky enough to get a shiny one.

Can It Be Shiny at GO Fest?

At this point in time, unfortunately not.

Niantic knows that a Shiny Meloetta will be highly sought after in the game, so it’s unfair to distribute it by random chance.

You can expect it to be added into the game at a much later date, much like they did with Shiny Mew, which arrived at the recent Kanto Tour event as part of another special research task.
