How to Play Age of Empires 4 On Mac?

If you have are an avid Age of Empires fan, you might be wanting to play the latest installment in the franchise. However, if you own a Mac device, there is some bad news for you. The game is not available for Mac players, which can be a bummer for many. Many AoE fans might not own a gaming PC, and are still on Mac, but can they try out the game? Well, yes, although, it is not that straightforward.

To play Age of Empires 4 on Mac, you need to install Windows on it. For that, you need to follow the given steps.

  • Firstly, you need to download the Windows 10 ISO file. You can get that from here, and then save it at any location.
  • You need to then get a USB drive with 5GB of available space. Do not connect any other external device during this process.
  • Now you need to go to the Utilities folder and click on Boot Camp Assistant. The two checkboxes stating Download the latest Windows support software for Apple and Install Windows should be ticked, and then locate the ISO file and choose the USB drive.
  • You will now be asked to create a partition and you need to allocate space for Windows, with a minimum of 20GB.
  • Follow the steps to install Windows on Mac and then download Steam from the website. After installing Windows, you can download Age of Empires 4.
