Uses Of Fossils In Jurassic World Evolution 2?

Fossils play an important part in Jurassic World Evolution 2 as they can be used to hatch dinosaurs and sometimes be sold for money.

Depending on the quality, extracted fossils can provide an increase in the completion percentage of an individual dinosaur’s genome. A genome that is 50% complete can hatch a dinosaur while a genome that is 100% complete can hatch a dinosaur with its maximum base stats.

How To Sell Fossils?

The first thing players should know about selling fossils is that fossils that contain dinosaur DNA cannot be sold. You can sell on those fossils that do not contain DNA and they are just for monetary gain. Here’s an example:

If you look at the image below, the highlighted yellow fossils can be sold by adding to the extraction slots on the right. But any fossil that contains DNA and isn’t highlighted in yellow cannot be sold.

Adding them to extraction slots reveals cash value

Fossils that can be sold will automatically display their cash value when you add them to the extraction slot.

The extraction of fossils is carried out in the Fossil Center which is an operations building that allows players to extract DNA from fossils and amber to create dinosaurs. Here, you will get the option to sell fossils in Jurassic World Evolution 2.

As of now, we haven’t come across any method for selling fossils containing DNA. But if we figure out something later, this article shall be updated accordingly. Or if you happen to have more information, feel free to comment below!
