How to Start ACNH Happy Home Paradise DLC & Get To Resort Islands

November 4, 2021

It’s safe to say that Nintendo is angling to get lapsed players back into Animal Crossing: New Horizons with the 2.0 update and the Happy Home Paradise DLC.

After months of neglect, players now have two hefty content updates to get stuck into, one that’s free, the other which is paid DLC.

While the free content is automatically on the player’s home island, some players are wondering how they can begin the DLC.

So, to help you out, here’s how to start the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC and how you can visit the resort islands.

How To Start The Happy Home Paradise DLC

To start the DLC, you first need to have purchased it from the Nintendo eShop and downloaded the 2.0 update.

Unfortunately though, although the above tells you how to start the DLC, at the time of writing, it seems as if the content isn’t available.

Nintendo will likely push the Happy Home Paradise content to players’ games at a later date and at that point, we’ll detail how to start it.

How To Get To The Resort Islands

Once it’s live, getting to the resort Islands, or archipelago is simple, players will need to head to their island’s airport and speak to the trust Orville.

From there, they will find a new dialogue option which states “I want to go to work.”

Selecting this option will allow players to hop on a flight to the archipelago and help the Paradise Planning Resort Developer team to develop the perfect holiday homes for villagers and recurring characters alike.
