Pokemon GO just keeps putting more special research out there for players to complete, with the latest getting players to ask how to take 3 snapshots of a certain type of Pokemon.

The latest special research for Pokemon Go is known as Misunderstood Mischief and is set to be 16 steps long, but these steps will not all unlock immediately. Instead, the events of the season will unlock new steps towards getting the mythical Hoopa.

Starting now, players can work towards completing the first of these steps, with one of them tasking players with taking 3 snapshots of Psychic-type Pokemon.

  • More: Hoopa has already been stirring up trouble with the Ultra Unlocks.

Misunderstood Mischief Special Research

This first step of the Misunderstood Mishief special feature features three tasks for you to complete. The first two are to “Make 10 Nice Throws” and “Use an Incense,” but the third may be a bit more confusing for some players.

This one requires you to take 3 snapshots of Psychic-type Pokemon to complete it. For doing so, you will be rewarded with 10 Nanap Berries in return.

Actually completing this task is what can trip up some new players of the game or perhaps those returning to the game after a long hiatus, but the good news is that it’s fairly simple to pull off.

How To Take 3 Snapshots of Wild Psychic Pokemon

There are two ways to go about getting 3 snapshots of Psychic-type Pokemon in the game, however, this research relies on you taking the snapshots of a Pokemon in the wild and unfortunately, you won’t be able to take a picture of one you already have in your Pokemon Storage.

To take a snapshot of a Psychic-type in the wild, you’re of course going to have to find a Psychic Pokemon somewhere first. Once you do, tap on them to bring up a wild encounter, but don’t catch it quite yet. Instead, hit the camera icon in the top center of the screen and it will open up a camera. Take a picture here, maybe even a few to make sure it registers, and then exit out to record your snapshot.

For completing the first step as a whole, you will also get a Gothita encounter, 1000 XP, and 500 Stardust.
