After almost six years, Bethesda has decided to retire its launcher. Here is what you need to do to preserve your games.

How to Transfer Bethesda Launcher Games To Steam

To transfer the Bethesda Launcher games to Steam, players need to follow the given steps.

  • First of all, you need to head to the Bethesda Account transfer page. You can find the link to that page here. Do note that you need to keep your Bethesda account login credentials handy in order to start and complete the migration process. If you forgot your username or your password, you can simply reset both of them by selecting the respective option on the login screen.
  • Next up, you need to link your Bethesda Account to Steam. Once again, ensure that you have your Steam account credentials with you as you will need to log in and authorize the connection in order to proceed with the migration.
  • Also, you need to login into your Steam account on the Steam client as well before starting the migration process, and logging into the browser is not enough.
  • After that, you need to click on the Start Steam Transfer button. Once you start this process, this cannot be canceled so ensure that you are using the correct Steam and Bethesda account. After starting the process, games cannot be played on the Bethesda.net launcher and you will only be able to access the game through Steam.
  • The transfer process might take a while, so you need to wait until that's completed to be able to access the games through Steam. After the migration process is completed, Games, Expansions and other DLCs, and Virtual Wallets like Atoms and Shards will be transferred to Steam. However, your local game saves and local configurations will not be transferred to Steam.
  • You have until May 11 to complete this process, but Bethesda has itself advised players to complete this process way before that to avoid any issues.
