The recent update added Quick chat in the game, and here is all you need to know about it.

What is quick chat in Among Us?

If you have been playing games for a while, you might be well aware of the quick chat feature. The feature basically allows players to send pre-defined messages to other players. It is quite useful since it allows players to send messages quickly without typing them out completely. These options range from questions, locations, accusations, and other relevant options. Here is the description of the feature according to the developers-

“This is an easier, faster and safer option to play if you’re using text chat! There will still be an options for free chat (toggle it On/Off in Settings), and if you’re under the legal age limit you’ll have Quickchat for you.”

How to turn off quick chat in Among Us?

While this feature is quite useful, some players want to turn it off. If you want to turn it off in Among Us, here is how to do it.

  • Start Among Us from Steam.
  • In the title screen, open the Settings menu by clicking on the Gear icon.
  • Under the Data tab click on Chat Type
  • Toggle between Free or Quick Chat or Quick Chat only.

Free or Quick Chat allows you to use quick chat and at the same time use the normal chat as well. Quick Chat only allows you to use Quick chat only. If you are under the legal age limit, you will not be able to use the free chat feature.
