An official Genshin Impact Version 1.3 English stream should be happening a few hours after the Chinese one. However, the English stream was not announced yet as we’re publishing this story. Update: The English stream was announced for January 22, 11 AM ET. (Click here for a time zone conversion), on the Genshin Impact English YouTube. The official English name of the Version &.3 update has been revealed too: All That Glitters.

Version 1.3 will add at least two new characters. The stream will reveal these two characters. Alongside several new events and quests. The stream will feature an overview on all of the new content coming with Ver 1.3. This will be the first big update in Genshin following the addition of Dragonspine.

Genshin Impact Version 1.3 Update – What we already know

First, when miHoYo revealed the update schedule for Genshin Impact, it stated Version 1.3 will include the Lantern Rite Festival in Liyue. As such, Version 1.3, soon after its launch in mid February, should introduce the Xiao gacha banner. Moreover, after the Version 1.3 Private Beta Test, two characters have leaked. We won’t specify names here as this is information under NDA, but most of you already know. Speaking of which, the leaker must have met an horrible fate after being caught by the miHoYo ninjas. Plus, there is technically no guarantee miHoYo will reveal the same characters on stream as in the Version 1.3 Beta Test. While this is a slightly different situation, keep in mind Xiao and Ayaka were characters present in the very first Closed Beta before release. And yet they still aren’t playable in the final game.

As a reminder, Xiao already appeared in the Liyue main story quest of Genshin Impact. Voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito in Sword Art Online), Xiao is one of the most anticipated Genshin characters. It’s likely the Xiao gacha banner will be one of the most successful ones yet for miHoYo.

Genshin Impact – Lantern Rite Festival Gameplay

Secondly, the Version 1.3 update of Genshin Impact will buff Geo characters such as Zhongli, with several improvements. These changes are not final yet. miHoYo might publish the final adjustments on the live stream.

Thirdly, miHoYo is also rumored to launch a paid, daily Original Resin refill pass. We might hear about it on the Genshin Impact Version 1.3 stream.

Fourthly, miHoYo published a few details regarding Version 1.3 earlier this week. Most notably how the iOS version of Genshin Impact will get controller support with the update.

Lastly, several new characters have appeared in past events. Such as Rosaria the nun. And some of the Fatui Harbingers, such as Scaramouche. We might see them again in Version 1.3. We still don’t know when then Inazuma region will be added either.

miHoYo has just released “Plenilune Gaze” Ganyu in Genshin Impact. Be sure to check our quick guide on how to build her. If you’d like a more action-oriented look, check out Ganyu’s Character Demo video. The Ganyu gacha banner lasts till February 2, 2021.
