Just in time for the holiday season, HTC has announced two first-party new games for their flagship VR hardware — the HTC Vive.

According to a press release, 2 Bears Studio and Fantahorn Studios are currently developing multiplayer-focused and user-generated games for the device, with both titles anticipated to launch later this year. Currently, 2 Bears Studio is working on a physics-inspired puzzle game titled Super Puzzle Galaxy, while Fantahorn’s upcoming title is a multiplayer WWII shooter called Front Defense: Heroes.

Set on an uncharted planet, Super Puzzle Galaxy tasks players with solving physics-based puzzles to manipulate the planet's landscape. By pushing, pulling, and manipulating sand and other objects, players can form new pathways and unlock new in-game abilities. According to the developer, the game will feature leaderboards and 48 pre-built puzzles at launch, with more puzzles set to be released after the game launches. On top of that, the game will also give players the ability to create their own puzzles and share with the community.

A follow-up to this summer's Front Defense, Front Defense: Heroes is a five versus five room-scaled multiplayer shooter, which features highly-polished assets. Regardless of which team you are on, players will have access to various maps, weapons, and game modes such as Capture the Flag and Team Deathmatch. Additionally, Fantahorn has also confirmed that this will be the first game to sport a unique locomotion system called “V-Move.”

Speaking of the Vive, recently the company unveiled their Black Friday deals for the 2017 gaming year, which includes a VR headset bundle for those that have yet to pick up a VR headset.

Currently, both titles do not have a release date; however, Vive detailed both games are expected to launch sometime this December via Steam.
