It was initially speculated that she will be arriving as a part of the 1.3 Update. However, she wasn't a part of it. The next major update for the title, the 1.4 Update is slated to release pretty soon. Fans are expecting Hu Tao to make her debut in the 1.4 Update. Here's all you need to know about Hu Tao and the 1.4 Update.

Genshin Impact 1.4 - Release Date

As of now, miHoYo hasn't confirmed the exact release date for Genshin Impact 1.4. However, it had earlier promised that the game will be getting a new update every six weeks. The 1.3 Update was released at the beginning of February, we can expect the 1.4 Update to launch sometime in March. Ideally, we are looking at a late March-early April release. miHoYo has been pretty consistent with updates till now, so a delay is unlikely.

Genshin Impact Hu Tao - Teaser Trailer

miHoYo has released a teaser trailer for Hu Tao recently. This pretty much confirms that the character will be making its way into the game via the 1.4 Update. In the trailer, we get to know more about the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Hu Tao. The character has an aura of mystery around it, and it's stated that she "walks the line between life and death, shouldering responsibilities unknown to most mortals."

What is Hu Tao's age?

Many fans are wondering what Hu Tao's actual age is. Well, miHoYo hasn't revealed yet how old Hu Tao is, but a few Redditors have made rough estimates about her age. It is stated that Hu Tao was conducting her grandfather's funeral rites at the age of 13, who was the 75th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, and a few years have passed since then. Considering that she is still regarded as a young lady, she is estimated to be around 18 to 20 years of age.

What are Hu Tao's skills and attacks?

Normal attack - Secret Spear of Wangsheng

Hu Tao can perform up to six consecutive strikes using her secret Spear of Wangsheng. The damage increases with each hit, which makes her attack quite lethal. She also has a charged attack which can deal quite a significant amount of damage at the cost of 25 stamina and a Plunging attack which deals with AoE damage.

Elemental Skill - Guide to Afterlife - Paramita Papilio & Blood Blossom

When Hu Tao uses her Elemental Skill, Guide to Afterlife, she consumes some of her HP and enters the Paramita Papilio state. In this state, her ATK increases based on her max HP, with the maximum being 400% of her base ATK. It increases her resistance to interruption and converts attack DMG to Pyro DMG. Alongside that, charged attacks also apply the Blood Blossom effect on enemies. Each enemy can be affected by only one Blood Blossom effect at a time and enemies affected by it take Pyro DMG every 4s.

Elemental Burst- Spirit Soother

Spirit Soother is Hu Tao's Elemental Burst and it summons a blazing spirit which deals massive AoE Pyro DMG on enemies. When the attack hits the enemy, a percentage of Hu Tao's HP is regenerated and if her HP is below 50% both HP and stamina regeneration is increased.

Genshin Impact is available on the App Store, Google Play, PC, PS4, and PS5.
