miHoYo published a new teaser trailer for Hu Tao in Genshin Impact (PC, PS4, PS5, Mobile, Switch release date TBA), this time with new gameplay footage.

In the trailer, Hu Tao funnily has a Staff of Homa equipped, which definitely cements it as her weapon of choice. And the one you should go for if you're financially comfortable enough to whale in Genshin Impact. The Lithic Spear, easier to pull, can be a good choice as well.

Note that only the Japanese version of the new Hu Tao teaser trailer is out. We'll be updating this article to add the English dubbed version when it's available. Be sure to read the details about Hu Tao and her Elemental Skill and Burst in the meanwhile.

For now, if you want a quick translation of the opening comedic skit:

The two men are brothers. They indirectly mention the female boss of the Treasure Hoarders, which means they're part of the organization. She's the one who gave them the treasure map they're following. The younger brother is getting cold feet, wondering if there's really any treasure in this creepy place. When the big brother tells him to grow up and stop being scared like a kid, Hu Tao appears. And pretty much offers them the service of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor as its 77th director, with a Staff of Homa to boot.

The trailer also has a pretty fun scene with Qiqi, which I'll let you discover. You can watch the new Hu Tao teaser trailer right now.

Hu Tao will be releasing on March 2 through a new banner. We already detailed everything you should know about the Hu Tao banner, Moment of Bloom.

We also explained how miHoYo picked deep and otaku referential casting choices with Hu Tao, both with her Japanese voice, and her English voice actress.

Genshin Impact Hu Tao Character Introduction Gameplay Trailer (Japanese, English)

The Korean version of the trailer is here for those interested in what Hu Tao sounds like.

Are you planning to pull Hu Tao? Be sure to wait until she actually releases before stocking up on development materials and thinking up builds. As it's likely her stats will be different than what you could've seen in leaks.

If you do plan to get Hu Tao, the ongoing Ley Line Overflow event is here to help get you EXP tickets and Mora to level her up.

Will you save your Primogems for future characters? Personally, I definitely like Hu Tao, but that's what I'm planning to do as I don't particularly need more Pyro DPS characters. Tell us your thoughts in the comments, or you can reach to me directly for otaku stuff on Twitter @A_iyane07.
