Hudson Soft is Now 100% Konami

According to Andriasang, Bomberman and Adventure Island creators Hudson Soft is expected to be completely assimilated by Konami this spring. While Konami’s already had a 54% majority stake in the company since April 2005, come April 1st they’ll own 100% of Hudson, making it a wholly owned subsidiary via a stock swap. Hudson CEO Michihiro Ishizuka is expected to resign on 3/31, with Konami Digital Entertainment’s Kazuhiko Uehara taking his place.

No word on whether or not they’ll keep the Hudson name, although I’m sure that won’t stop them from whoring out Bomberman across all platforms while completely ignoring quality titles like Lost in Shadow.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
