Digital storefront has now given over $100 million to charities, according to the company.
In addition to announcing the impressive and feel good milestone, Humble Bundle also revealed that the Humble Origin Bundle in 2013 and Humble Freedom Bundle were two of the top promotions the storefront has had: generating $10.3 and $6.7 million, respectively.
Notably, it took the company four-and-a-half years to hit $50 million raised, but less than three years to raise another $50 million to hit $100 million.
Founded in 2010 and located in San Francisco, Humble Bundles offers bundles of games at a price determined by the purchaser. The purchaser can also dictate what portion of the price goes towards charity, and what goes to the developers. Charities are rotated each month — the current one is Action Against Hunger — or can be selected from a database of thousands of different charities, including the likes of the American Red Cross, WaterAid, Wikimedia Foundation, Child’s Play, and many more.
In addition to offering these bundles, Humble Bundle has also expanded into a persistent storefront and is even now a publisher of games.
