Hunt: Showdown Is Coming to Xbox Game Preview

The CryEngine-run first-person shooter Hunt: Showdown will also be coming to Xbox One, Microsoft announced during Gamescom 2018.

The competitive first-person monster hunting game Hunt: Showdown is coming to Xbox One, Microsoft announced at their Inside Xbox @ Gamescom event. Already in Early Access on PC, the bounty hunting game will be playable through Microsoft’s equivalent Game Preview service.

Featuring both PvP and PvE gameplay, Crytek developed this game using their CryEngine. Players will collect loot and compete against their friends as they fight terrifying monsters in this gothic, Western, and steampunk-inspired Louisiana swamp environment. Players, either in solo or duos gameplay, will fight each other as they try to nab their winnings—welcome to “spooky PUBG.”

Inspired primarily by the Darksiders series, Hunt: Showdown will feature procedurally-generated maps and objectives. While no date was announced for the game’s arrival on Xbox Game Preview, you can watch the trailer for the Xbox version below.
