Huzzah, Minecraft 1.6 Update Coming Sooner Than Expected!

Right about when Minecraft 1.5 came out, Markus “Notch” Persson tweeted that the Nether, Minecraft’s version of Hell, would finally see its debut in the multiplayer version of the game, along with a disclaimer that “you might as well get used to 1.5 for a while.” Apparently, “a while” is something like three weeks, as Notch tweeted recently that the 1.6 update would be coming sometime next week.

Along with the highly anticipated Nether, 1.6 also adds a ton of bug fixes, along with trapdoors to the mix. Finally, I have motivation to get back on! A trapdoor to Hell, anyone?
