In a press release today given by Ground Control Studios, the release schedule for their top-down space shooter Hyper Gods. The game debuts on Steam Early Access today and will be ready for the full experience in ‘three to four months.’ Along with the Steam version, the completed game will also find its way to the Xbox One in early 2017.

The frenetic game plays like a game of PvP of Asteroids on PCP: your tiny ship must destroy enemy ships while also battling the titular Gods. Taking down these stick figure deities will grant you new abilities in order to help you defeat your foes.

The press release states that:

“…the key-elements for gameplay are fully developed, so one part of the team will spend the next months focusing on balancing and tweaking the online experience, while another part focuses on the finalization of the remaining elements. The next goal after these two key-points are completed will be the Xbox One release.”

It’s hard to tell if the Gods will be satiated through Early Access but Ground Control Studios has promised to listen to the requests coming from on high.
