As we approach the release of Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition for the Switch, Nintendo has started to release character highlight trailers. The first of these trailers pays homage to the enduring individuals who have made the series great, as well as a few original characters from Hyrule Warriors itself.

In this first trailer, we get to see classic and (literally) timeless characters like Link, Zelda, and Impa showcasing their moves against hoards of enemies. The trailer then moves on to some of the original characters, including Linkle, Lana, Volga, Wizzro, and Cia using some of their most explosive moves. You can check out the trailer below and enjoy the short little homage Nintendo has made to honor franchise favorites as we approach release.

While the Hyrule Warriors game has received a great deal of support from its initial launch on the Wii-U back in 2014, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will be releasing for the Switch on May 18, 2018. The game will feature full 1080p TV mode, fully-rendered companion fairies, two-player mode on a single system and a roster of over 25 characters both old and new from the beloved Legend of Zelda franchise. If you didn't have the opportunity to pick up Hyrule Warriors on the Wii-U or just want a copy on the latest console, look forward to the game's release on the Switch soon.

While you're here, you can check out our review of both Hyrule Warriors for the Wii-U and Hyrule Warriors Legends on the 3DS. You can also preorder your copy of Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition on Amazon here.
