It seems that Tecmo and Team Ninja may have heard our cries after all. An online Japanese retailer has recently added a listing for Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and get this - it lists the PS3 and Xbox 360 as the platforms. After enduring a nasty fan backlash about the quality of Ninja Gaiden 3 - and even further backlash about the Wii U exclusivity of much improved Razor's Edge (see our own contribution to that here) - the developer and publisher may have finally decided to make Razor's Edge multiplatform.

The page lists April 4th as the Japanese release date for the game, and says that the game will contain additional playable characters Ayane, Kasumi and Momiji, as well as other features present in the Wii U exclusive. There's been no official word from Tecmo about Razor's Edge hitting multiple platforms (though they did hint at it) so this should be treated as rumor until further notice. I should also mention that a Ninja Gaiden Sigma 3 was listed by a French retailer back in November.

I however will treat this as official as I saw it coming from miles away, and if you frequent this site then you did too. Thank goodness I didn't buy a Wii U for this game.
