iam8bit Reveals Paint by Pixels Art Project At GDC 2011

February 27, 2011

For those of you going to GDC 2011 (like out resident Allen Park), come out and support iam8bit’s art project for the show! They’ve got a 20 by 8-foot wall in San Fran, marked with the colors for each individual pixel that needs placing. Each person who attends GDC will be granted one 2×2-inch pixel to place on the wall, and they’ll need 5,760 pixels up to finish the project. The piece is designed by pixel artist Jude Buffum, and a time-lapse video of the construction will be made after it is finished.

Let’s just hope that Allen doesn’t go and mess the whole thing up.

iam8bit has also revealed the designs for their commemorative GDC 25 posters, which can be viewed here.

Anyone planning on going to GDC should help support this project.
