Today it was announced that the popular The Idolmaster sub-franchise Cinderella Girls is going to get an event in Japan to celebrate its sixth anniversary.

The first game of the series, distributed on the Mobage Japanese platform (for iOS, Android and Google Chrome), was in fact released on November 28th, 2011, and has acquired great popularity among the fans, sparking anime TV series and even a PlayStation VR experience that was released in the west last month.

The announcement was made today during a live event of The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls 5th Live Tour Serendipity Parade.

The new event will be titled  The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls 6th Anniversary Memorial Party, and the the will be held on November 19th, with details to be disclosed at a later date.

All we got for now is the logo of the event and a super-cute visual portraying the girls of the Cinderella Girls idol band in chibi version.

It'll be interesting to see if new games will be announced when it'll all go down in November, but for now, all we can do is to wait and see if Bandai Namco brings something interesting to the party. After the VR debut (and the unexpected launch in the west), everything is possible.
