During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, Bandai Namco revealed a new The Idolmaster game, titled The Idolmaster: Stella Stage.

While not many details have been revealed, we know that the game will release in Japan on December 21st for PS4.

As usual the player will play the role of a Producer of the 765 agency, and the screenshots release with the press kit show the “main” idol group which is most familiar to the fans, pretty much confirming that this is a mainline installment for the series.

You can check them out below, while more details will be shared tomorrow (September 19th) during a livestream on Nico Nico at 10 PM Japan Time.

No release has been announced for the west at the moment, but Bandai Namco did publish The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls: Viewing Revolution in North America and Europe, so we may still hope.

The latest mainline game of the series, The Idolmaster: Platinum Stars, was also a PS4 exclusive, and you can read our review.
