Originally announced last year at E3 2019 as Gods & Monsters, Ubisoft intended for the open-world title to release in the first portion of this year. However, after getting delayed indefinitely and having its name changed to Immortals Fenyx Rising, the team at Ubisoft Quebec has come back with a new launch date for the game.

Announced as part of today's Ubisoft Forward event, Immortals Fenyx Rising is set to release later this year on December 3. It will also be coming to darn near every platform imaginable and includes PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC, and Stadia.

Ubisoft made the release date announcement alongside the reveal of new gameplay for Immortals Fenyx Rising. Other than some leaks that occurred earlier this year, this is actually the first gameplay that we have seen for Immortals Fenyx Rising and it is clearly borrowing a lot of ideas from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The open-world structure is very similar to the latter title, as are the game's general controls.

In addition to announcing its launch date, Ubisoft also announced a special partnership with Google Stadia that will let users play a demo for Immortals ahead of release. Considering that the aforementioned gameplay which leaked earlier this year came about via Stadia, this collaboration now makes a whole lot more sense.
