At the tail end of 2020, we saw the release of Immortals Fenyx Rising and it proved to be a pleasant surprise among the swath of other titles in the Ubisoft library that follows their popular open-world formula. After a little over a month since its release, Ubisoft has now rolled out a title update in preparation for the game's upcoming DLC pack as well as addressing a handful of technical issues across all platforms. This would be the Immortals' first major update and includes a demo that will prime players for when the game's first piece of DLC launches shortly.

According to the game's patch notes, Title Update 1.1.0 went live for all players early Thursday morning. The patch implemented a handful of fixes for a few major issues such as a save corruption bug that affected Xbox Series X versions of the game and several localization fixes as well as some smaller gameplay tweaks. By far the biggest and most exciting addition would be a new quest that serves as a tease for the upcoming A New God DLC that is on the way.

The quest, that appears on the map as "When In Olympos", is a timed challenge vault where you'll have to make your way to the end to score some sweet loot. The game's official website lists the DLC pack as being "legendary trials and challenges of the gods" so this short demo seems to be a very clear indicator of what the full version will have in store once it releases.

immortals update

There is currently no confirmed release date for A New God at this current time but it's safe to assume that it won't be long before we know for sure since we're getting primed for what is to come. There are also still two more DLC packs on the way for Immortals Fenyx Rising, Myths of the Eastern Realms and The Lost Gods. Given how quickly Ubisoft is moving forward with the first, it should not be long before more details are shared regarding the subsequent expansions and Fenyx's continued mythological adventures.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia.
