In Splatoon, Your “Coolness” Level Determines Access to the Latest In-Store Swag

Splatoon‘s official Tumblr page revealed some interesting new info about shops, info that will make you flashback to those glorious highschool days of judgmental people and the latest in fashionable trends.

According to the site, store clerk will be judging your “coolness” factor based on the rank gained by accruing experience points during battle. If you rank is high enough, then congratulations: you get access to the latest gear. But if it’s too low, the store owner will tell you to buzz off, nerd. Jelonzo, the charismatic clerk running the clothing store, is especially strict about this rule of squid society and does not hesitate to enforce it.
