Apparently flushing the infamous Grinch leak down the toilet, today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct followed up a Ken reveal with an unexpected Pokemon character, Incineroar from Pokemon Sun and Moon. Incineroar, to the disappointment of Smash Bros. fans around the world, is apparently the last new challenger in the base of Ultimate, according to director Masahiro Sakurai. With a pro-wrestling-themed moveset, the Fire/Dark-type Pokemon is primarily skilled with strong throwing moves. Sakurai touts that Incineroar will be able to pose after moves, with the players able to cancel poses during battle.Darkest Lariat, a sort of cyclone attack, is Incineroar's neutral special attack. Cross Chop acts as the Pokemon's up special, with its side special being a move involving throwing opponents on wrestling arena ropes. Finally, Revenge is Incineroar's down special, acting as a counter attack. Max Malicious Moonsault, Incineroar's Z-Move, is naturally the character's Final Smash.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on December 7. Be sure to pre-order the game on Amazon, presuming the lack of Banjo-Kazooie hasn't turned you off completely.
