Fans of Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy can stop holding support groups in anticipation of the announcement of David Cage and Quantic Dream’s next title. It has been confirmed that Cage himself will grace the center stage at Sony’s E3 presentation next week, and it is assumed that he will reveal one or two titles that are currently in development.

Rumors persist that at least one of the titles will almost definitely be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, while the other could possibly be for Sony’s next-generation system. The last major development out of Quantic Dream came in March of this year, when Cage showcased a new motion-capture engine that was currently in development with the short-film, Kara.

Heavy Rain – released exclusively for the PS3 – was one of the highest-selling games of 2010, and has since gone on to sell over two million copies. Indigo Prophecy – also known as Fahrenheit – was one of the best games that no one has ever played; it pulled in positive scores and only moderate sales. Quantic Dream also developed Omikron: The Nomad Soul, released for the PC and Sega Dreamcast between 1999 and 2000.
