Yesterday many European gamers who pre-ordered inFAMOUS: First Light on the PSN received a mail from Sony Computer Entertainment explaining that their pre-order had been canceled due to a “technical error.”

Today Sucker Punch itself took to Twitter to explain what happened and apologize, clarifying that the game itself is ready and there are no problems with it.

UK Pre-order issues: A clerical mistake was made in the submission to PSN for SCEE territories.

First Light itself is ready and submitted/approved for publication. simply a mechanics problem with the pre-order program in Europe.

Apologies to affected customers, and we hope you all enjoy the game when it launches in ~4 days!

The developer also mentioned that Sony is aware of the fact that some of the pre-orders seem to be stuck (with the game still appearing in the download list and the count down still going), and is working on solving the issue.

Apologies, we are aware that the cancelled preorders are stuck in some cases. PSN store is currently working on it.

inFAMOUS: First Light is just three days away from release. Is your body ready for some more neon-powered dashing?

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
