The release of Infinity Strash Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is still a long way ahead, Square Enix announced at TGS 2020.At TGS 2020 last day, Square Enix held a special live stream focusing on the arcade and mobile game projects of Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai. The stream featured the games Producer Ryutaro Ichimura, the seiyuu Atsumi Tanezaki (Dai) and Mikako Komatsu (Maam), and Pro Cosplayer Enako, who was cosplaying Maam:

Enako published more photos on Twitter, they're included at the end of this article.

First off, new screenshots, gameplay, and a trailer for Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken Tamashii no Kizuna, the mobile game, were revealed. You can find some screenshots and the trailer below. The game has no release date yet.

Next, new details on the arcade game, Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken Xross Blade, were published, with most notably a new trailer. The game will launch in Japan on October 22. We got to see Komatsu Mikako play the game live too.

As the stream ended, Producer Ryutaro Ichimura mentioned there's still a long road ahead before Infinity Strash Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken gets released. It's important to note that no platforms were announced for the game yet, besides "consoles". Meaning it's very likely at this point it'll be cross-gen.

One good move from Square Enix would be to release the game a little bit after the new TV anime remake has started. The new Dai no Daibouken anime will start airing on October 3, that's next week. As far as I know, we don't have official word yet from Toei regarding how many episodes in total the anime will be. It's highly likely it'll be at the very least 50 episodes / one year long. Personally speaking, if I was Square Enix, I'd make it so the game released in around one year, right when the "first season" of the anime would have ended after 50 episodes.

Infinity Strash Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken, and the two other Dai no Daibouken games, was first announced back in May 2020.
