Call of Duty: Ghosts Producer Mark Rubin just confirmed on Twitter what has been floating around for a while. The name will run at a native resolution of 1080p on PS4 and of 720p on Xbox One. of course Microsoft’s upcoming console will still upscale the game to an output resolution of 1080p.

Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4.  We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both. Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction.  Can’t wait for next week’s launch.

At last we can put the rumors to rest, and those that published a certain video claiming that both consoles would run at 720p due to an outlandish (and completely unrelated to resolution) reason like the “quality of the network” should maybe reconsider the alleged credibility of their sources.
