Injustice 2 Teases New Character Reveal for Next Tuesday, Unleashes Next Beta Round

With the reveal of Black Canary a few days ago, it seems like NetherRealm studios might be gearing up for weekly unveilings. On the Injustice 2 website, a teaser image appeared saying that a new character will be revealed on Tuesday, February 7th. If tradition is to be trusted, this will most likely come in the form of a gameplay trailer.

New faces (Poison Ivy, Bane, Braniac, Robin) appearing in the story trailer recently showed up on the character listing on the official website. I think it’s safe to say that the Tuesday surprise will be a hero/villain that hasn’t been shown off in any capacity.

Not to slack in the beta for Injustice 2, Ed Boon recently tweeted that the 3rd wave of codes had gone out. He also mentioned that he was going to give some away via Twitter this weekend, so if you’re dying for one, keep an eye out on NetherRealm’s creative director’s social media today and tomorrow.

The beta also recently was updated beyond the usual bug fixes to include Blue Beetle as a playable character. He joins Atrocitus, Supergirl, Superman, and Batman as the fifth fighter.

I’m happy to see the superhero fighter continue to get a lot of promotion in before the May 16th launch date. Xbox One and PS4 owners will have a lot to unpack when that date rolls along.
