The good folks at NetherRealm Studios definitely seem to appreciate the idea of offering a long tail of support to their games, as they demonstrated with Mortal Kombat X. In an interview  shared today on the PlayStation BlogCast, Director Ed Boon mentioned that we can expect the same from Injustice 2.

Boon mentioned that while the game will focus more on the “straightforward DC stuff,” Injustice 2 will have a “very long” post-game support with both DLC and tournaments.

Injustice 2 will be released next year for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
