Injustice 2 World Championship Gets Augmented Fighters From The Future Group

If you’re keeping up with competitive gaming then you’re probably familiar with the work being done by the Future Group.

As seen in Eleague’s Street Fighter V Invitational, characters are displayed in real-time on the stage as if they were addressing the crowd of people. This was made possible by the Future Group’s augmented visuals that are created through its in-house graphical rendering platform, Frontier, which is based on Unreal engine.

Now, the team at future group continues their augmented reality success by partnering once again with Eleague for theĀ Injustice 2 World Championship that place from October 27 through November 10 at the Eleague arena in Atlanta Georgia.

Coming into the second week of the event, the matches will be televised on TBS at 6pm EDT, and streamed on Twitch, YouTube, and Eleague’s Website. The televised viewers will also get a chance to preview what Future Group is bringing to the show with their augmented reality characters. This technology allows fans to see some of their favorite fighting game characters up close in a 3-dimensional space. A feature I’m sure many aren’t opposed to.

You can watch a short clip of the TBS broadcast below shot during the Injustice 2 World Championship where Batman is displayed onstage for all to see:
