It seems the Injustice 3 comics series is on the way to come as its lead writer teases the Injustice logo on Twitter. Possibly, it could be followed by the official Injustice 3 video game from Nether Realm Studios and Warner Bros. Interatcive.Recently, Tom Taylor, the writer behind tie-in comics for Injustice 1 and 2, has shared two images on his Twitter accounts, indicating "I" and "N" words using the same font as the Injustice logo, which makes us think about something Injustice-related up ahead.

The tie-in comics for Injustice 1 and 2 both released sometime after the games' launch dates. With Tom Taylor apparently teasing a sequel to the first two comic series, it's possible to see the Nether Realm Studios announcing the third entry of the Injustice franchise sooner or later.

Developed by the creators of Mortal Kombat series, Injustice is a brand IP from Nether Realm Studios that was born in 2013 featuring dozens of popular DC characters set in the fighting genre. With Injustice 2 launching in 2017, the developers managed to deliver much improved gameplay and fighting systems that brought a huge success to the series.

With the community of the series growing drastically over the past years, most of the fans believe that the next project from Nether Realm would be Injustice 3, and the latest tease from Tom Taylor raises the hype for a possible announcement from Warner Bros. Interactive during its own upcoming event, DC FanDom, on August 22.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest title from Nether Realm Studios, which received its first post-launch expansion a few months ago. Mortal Kombat 11 managed to break the record of sales in the franchise's history, turning into the fourth best-selling game of 2019 on PS4. The same records could happen for the Injustice series as well if the third iteration of the franchise really exists.

If you haven't played Injustice 2 yet, its legendary edition is now available for $59.99 on Steam.
