With eight years of development on its back, INSOMNIA: The Ark finally gets a launch trailer focusing on the dark and gritty lives of humanity's last remnants as they fight for survival on board an enormous city in the depths of space known as Object 6.

The trailer shows fights breaking out on the streets of the deprived metropolis where its inhabitants continuously suffer violent outbreaks and poor living conditions. A voice can be heard detailing the 400-year history that these people had to endure as they are divided into warring factions and it quickly becomes evident that tensions have now reached boiling point. As the camera pans across the seemingly endless poverty along the city streets, the player-character awakens from cryogenic sleep with a rare disease. From here, it quickly descends into chaos with firefights erupting and the player engaging in combat dressed in full body armor.

INSOMNIA: The Ark is an action RPG rich with lore from Herocraft and Studio Mono which sees the player fighting for survival against the inhabitants of Object 6 as well as fending off thirst and hunger. It sports a perk system in order to combat unnecessary grinding and features a number of different endings depending on players' in-game choices.

INSOMNIA: The ark will be arriving on Steam on September 27.
