On Thursday, Russian developer Studio MONO shared a trailer exploring the dystopian world of their upcoming roleplaying game INSOMNIA: The Ark.

This most recent trailer reveals much more of INSOMNIA: The Ark's setting than the teaser trailer that was released back in March. The game takes place on a retro-futuristic space station called Object 6 journeying to find humanity a new home. The space station in question looks like its 400-year mission is definitely taking its toll with pieces of it flying off into space and fiery riots happening in the streets.

Contrasting with this bleak imagery is the song playing during the trailer.  An upbeat jazz number by Russian singer Leonid Utyosov, that when translated, perfectly describes the state of Object 6 with lyrics like, "with our full crew on board, with our one motor gone, we can still carry on." While the song is upbeat, it definitely sets the tone for this mysterious world.

A Kickstarter campaign for INSOMNIA: The Ark began several years ago. The campaign says that the game will be available for PC, Mac, and Linux, but its Steam page only shares system requirements for PC at the moment. The game will be released sometime later this year. You can check out the trailer below featuring its bleak dystopian world below.
