Insomniac Games Hosting Informal Developer Conference Called Core Dump

on July 30, 2016 2:52 PM

Insomniac Games has announced Core Dump, a two day informal conference of developers lasting from Friday, August 5, 2016 to Saturday, August 6, 2016.

The concept came from Mike Acton, head of Insomniac’s Engine team. He explains that while formal conferences of developers are great, sometimes people would rather share thoughts without a solution, slides, or hour long lecture. So instead, Insomniac will be hosting developers to have casual conversations about development and learn from each other.

Some of the topics announced for discussion include:

  • Build vs Buy
  • Debugging and Memory Strategies
  • Tools UI Dev Strategies
  • Managing Streaming

Core Dump is only for those who are part of the development community, it is not for fans or people looking for work. The full schedule of events is located on their Eventbrite page, which also is hosting their ticket distribution, with access costing $55.
