Insta-Forum: How Are You Spending Your Time At Home Besides Gaming?
For our latest Insta-Forum, we're going a little off-topic: what else are you doing at home besides spending some gaming time?
With most of us having now been at home for well over a month, adjusting to life in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic has been a big change. It’s led to some stressful times for many of us, to say the least. Thankfully, there are small comforts that have made the transition to being at home a little easier in uncertain times, like gaming and getting the chance to explore our passions to the fullest.
A few weeks ago in one of our previous Insta-Forums, we wanted to know what games everyone was playing in the midst of staying at home, especially those games on your backlog that you’ve been meaning to play. This time around, we want to go a little off-topic and ask: what else are you doing at home other than gaming?
When you’re not playing games, what else are you doing to help make the time pass by? Are there any other hobbies or pastimes you’re spending time getting into? Any movies you’re finally catching up on or TV shows you’re binging? Books you’re reading? Exercising? Cooking/baking? Writing? Making or playing music? How else are you using your at-home time? Let us know in the comments below.
Personally, I’ve tried to divide up my free time at home by playing games and writing, while also taking care of some cleaning around the house and spending time on personal projects. I’m also trying to break up my days a bit by reading some books that I’ve been meaning to get to, shows and movies I’ve wanted to watch, and other assorted things in my spare time. I’ve also spent some time with my partner to cook more, and so far we’ve been pretty successful in our attempts at making delicious new dinner recipes.
So far I’ve managed to get to some shows I’ve been wanting to watch for a while like The Good Place, the fourth season of Better Call Saul, and I’m now catching back up with Community on Netflix now that the whole show is there. I just finished The Witcher graphic novel from Dark Horse, about to start on The Witcher book series (now that I’ve seen the Netflix series), and I’m now working my way through the omnibus of Y: The Last Man. I think I’ve got the time now to get through a 1,400 page book.
