After months of waiting, next-gen has finally arrived with the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/Series S. Microsoft and Sony's long-awaited new consoles are finally available to most around the world, and this past week marked the first time that players could get their hands on a new generation of gaming. While every console launch has its issues, it's still an exciting time for everyone that loves video games, whether you have a PS5, Xbox Series X/Series S, or both.

With the new consoles finally out, we want to turn to the DualShockers community to get your reactions and ask: What do you think of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/Series S so far? Which console(s) do you have right now? What games have you started playing on either system? What features do you like or dislike? What could be improved? How does it feel to finally be playing a next-gen console? Let us know in the comments below.

For me, now having both systems at launch, so far I've had pretty positive impressions of both the PS5 and Xbox Series X from my first week with the system. In terms of setup, both systems were pretty seamless and easy to get started once I had them at home; the Series X setup was particularly breezy, while the PS5 took me a bit more time having gone the (unfortunate) route of trying to wirelessly transfer my save data. So far I've put most of my time into playing games on the PS5, but already both systems are showing promising signs of what's to come from the next generation of games in the coming years.

The Xbox Series X/Series S are available now worldwide, while the PS5 is available in select countries; its worldwide release will take place on November 19, 2020.
