Insta-Forum: What Games Are You Getting from the Steam Summer Sale?

With the Steam Summer Sale in swing for a few more days, what games have you been eyeing from your Wishlist to finally play?

Last week Valve kicked off the Steam Summer Sale, the annual tradition of enjoying the warm weather from inside your living room with some new games and old favorites for cheap. Granted, this summer has looked very different from past summers due to the coronavirus pandemic, so now is as good a time as any to settle in with your Steam backlog to play some games. As is tradition, the Steam Summer Sale has thousands of games available on the cheap, giving the perfect opportunity to pick up titles that you might have had an eye on for a while, or if you just want to add on to a pile of games in your Steam library that you’ll play…someday.

With the Steam Summer Sale running for a few more days, we want to ask the DualShockers community: Which games are you planning to pick up from the Summer Sale? Anything you’ve been meaning to play for a while? What good deals would you recommend other people grab? How big is your backlog at this point? Let us know in the comments below.

For me personally, I bought a couple games from the Steam Summer Sale that I’ve been meaning to get for a bit like Black Mesa, now that it’s finally had its full release earlier this year (and because I can’t get enough Half-Life). I also picked up Tabletop Simulator so that I can have some (virtual) board game nights with friends, along with a few other games that I picked up on the cheap. My backlog is already big enough as is (especially with Ghost of Tsushima on the horizon), but I still wanted to get a few things from the sale while I had the chance.

The Steam Summer Sale is currently happening right now through Thursday, July 9 at 10am PT. There’s still a few more days left until the sale ends, so if there are some games that you haven’t picked up yet or you want to make your backlog even larger, I’d suggest heading over there.
