After what has felt like ages, The Last of Us Part II is finally here. Ever since we first saw the game revealed in 2016, Naughty Dog has been hinting at a new chapter of Ellie and Joel's story that would be heartbreaking and devastating in equal measure. By all accounts, it seems like the developer delivered, and also gave us an incredible journey to conclude this generation like the original The Last of Us did back in 2013.

Now that the game has been out for a few days, we want to turn to the DualShockers community and ask for your thoughts on the game. What do you think of The Last of Us Part II? How does it compare to the original game?  What aspects of the game have surprised you? Has the game lived up to expectations? What is your reaction to Ellie's harrowing journey? Let us know in the comments below.

Just keep in mind when commenting below: please try to avoid sharing spoilers or major story moments that might impact the experience of playing the game for those that are still making their way through the game or haven't played it yet.

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, we are currently in the process of reviewing The Last of Us Part II and expect to have our full review of the game up later this week. Personally, having now finished it, there's no denying that TLOU Part II is an incredible game to end the generation on and arguably one of the PS4's best titles. However, TLOU Part II is a dense game with a lot to unpack from it narratively and mechanically, so you'll hear more from me on it in our review when it goes live.

The Last of Us Part II is available now exclusively on PS4. Stay tuned for our upcoming review of the game later this week alongside other more in-depth discussions of the game.
