The past few weeks have definitely been a weird and uncertain time for a lot of people. With the coronavirus continuing to upend daily life across the world, being able to turn to some of our usual comforts is impossible in the current moment. Thankfully, video games have been able to provide at least some sense of comfort in an anxiety-inducing time. Many of us have turned to some of our favorite comfort games to stay connected with friends and relax, and most of all, finally getting to chip away a bit at our backlogs.

With so many people having to stay at home in order to help flatten the curve, we're turning to the DualShockers community to ask: what games are you playing right now? Whether it's from your backlog or otherwise, what games are helping you stay home and comfortable? Let us know in the comments below.

Personally, I've used my social distancing time to catch up on a lot of recent games from this year and a couple from 2019 that I never got around to playing. So far that has included Half-Life: Alyx, DOOM Eternal, and Resident Evil 3; just yesterday, I wrapped up my playthrough of Gears 5 since I didn't quite get to it last year. I've also spent some of my non-gaming time checking out some gaming-related things, such as The Witcher graphic novel omnibus from Dark Horse Comics, and I want to start reading the original book series soon.

At the moment, there are a bunch of other games that I've started considering playing since we'll have to spend at least the next month indoors. Now might just be the best time that I can finally dive into Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Persona 5, or I might opt to play some more of Borderlands 3.

Whether you're spending your self-isolation time gaming or otherwise, all of us here at DualShockers hope our readers and their friends, family, and loved ones are staying safe and healthy. Of course, if you're looking for how to figure out the next game to play to keep you occupied, you can check out our reviews for recent games like Half-Life: AlyxDOOM Eternal, Persona 5 Royal, and Resident Evil 3.
