We're officially in the spookiest time of the year, and Halloween is right around the corner. While this year Halloween may look a little "different," there are still plenty of opportunities to celebrate All Hallows' Eve with the right mix of scary games and frightful times.

Of course, a bunch of games are offering their own opportunities to celebrate Halloween with special events, along with brand new horror games that have released in the past few weeks. Amnesia: Rebirth is among the most notable horror games to debut this month from Frictional Games, which we reviewed last week and found to be a worthy successor to the horror classic Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Additionally, several other games are hosting spooky events like Rainbow Six Siege's puppet-filled "Sugar Fright" and Minecraft Dungeons' "Spooky Fall." Either way, there are always plenty of classics worth going back to around this time of year like Left 4 Dead, the Resident Evil series, Silent Hill, and so many more that are perfect for the holiday.

With Halloween coming up at the end of the week, we want to ask the DualShockers community: What spooky games are you planning to play to celebrate Halloween? What games always give you a fright to celebrate the holiday? If scary games aren't your thing, what movies or shows will you watch for All Hallows' Eve? Let us know in the comments below.

For me this year, I'm planning to dig into a few horror games this week to celebrate Halloween, which is a tradition that I always look forward to. This year, I'm aiming to play the Layers of Fear series--which I've sorely missed out on--and planning to finally jump into Phasmophobia to see what all the fuss is about. I might mix in a bit of Among Us as well, since I can't help but try to be the Imposter.
