We’ve received a huge information update on Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, the enhanced re-release of their warmly received 3D fighter Dead or Alive 5. First and foremost, an international release of the game has been confirmed. It will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America, Europe and Japan this Fall. Ultimate will include the enhanced training mode and tutorials that first appeared in Dead or Alive 5 Plus for the Vita.

In related news, a new trailer for the game has been released today. It shows off the first confirmed new character, Momiji. Momiji and Kasumi are locked in a heated battle within the all new Sky City Tokyo stage. The giant statue – which is actually a boss in Ninja Gaiden 2 – is one of the stages interactive elements. Finally, the end of the trailer shows a man that fans will undoubtedly recognize as Leon from older DOA games, although his face is not shown. He’s standing in a dessert stage. Will Leon join Momiji as new additions to the roster? Do you think the highly requested Ein will make his return as well?
