In today’s video game landscape accessibility is key to success. Budgets are getting larger, and in turn, the risks are getting greater. With this in mind — now more than ever — we’re seeing games becoming more accessible (and I don’t mean “easy”) so that they can cater to larger audiences. Eidos Montreal is the latest developer that is stepping up to the “accessibility plate” in hopes that its next title in the Deus Ex series, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided can get its combat mechanics on par with the level of quality RPG fans have enjoyed from the franchise for years. We spoke with one of the game’s designers, Antoine Thisdale, who took the time to explain how this balancing act — between RPG and Shooter — is accomplished. Check out the full interview below.
