Interview: Taking a Look at the Gravity-Defying Absurdity of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

on April 22, 2014 3:00 PM

While crowds waited in lines at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center last weekend at PAX East, many titles like TransistorWatch Dogs, Evolve, and more drew plenty of lines and admirers. But, in particular, Gearbox Software and 2K brought their big guns with the recently-revealed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, and while Borderlands is known for its craziness, the latest title might just be the craziest yet.

DualShockers was present on the show floor of PAX East 2014 to check out the title first-hand, and luckily had the chance to speak first-hand with 2K Australia’s Joel Eschler and Gearbox Software’s James Lopez about what developing the title was like coming off the big success of Borderlands 2 and its many, many DLCs. In particular, our interview took to addressing how fans of the series shouldn’t worry: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is far from “glorified DLC.”

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is expected to release in Fall 2014 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC – check out our full interview on the title below from PAX East 2014 in Boston:
