InterWave Studios Releases New Gameplay Trailer for Dark Matter

In a recent trailer released by InterWave Studios, we get a nice glimpse into the heart-pounding gameplay of Dark Matter, a side-scrolling shooter inspired by Alien and Metroid. Their Kickstarter has made £2,940 so far and must raise at least £90,000 by July 18th in order to be successful.

The video shows us how light and darkness are key components of gameplay since you must use light to illuminate pitch black corridors even though enemies are agitated by it and will become more aggressive. Conversely, darkness helps to mask your presence and move through enemy ranks much faster but at the cost of any vision. Dark Matter really sets a terrifying and tense mood with very simple gaming mechanics and sounds. The minimalistic yet intriguing plot doesn’t hurt either.
