Introducing Guillermo Del Toro's inSANE Trilogy

Visionary director Guillermo Del Toro is teaming up with THQ to bring you inSANE; an original Triple-A Trilogy which will bring quote “an unprecedented cinematic experience while redefining storytelling in gaming.” Usually I would pass a phrase like that off as typical PR hype, but the fact that Del Toro is involved is enough for me to believe that.

Guillermo Del Toro will work as an external Creative Director on the trilogy working closely with THQ on development. THQ will own intellectual property rights to the games, and Del Toro will own the the rights to any filmed versions which almost guarantees a movie at some point in time.

Del Toro is one of my favorite directors and I have loved every movie he’s worked on, so needless to say this is a title I’ll be keeping a very close eye on; unfortunately it looks like it’s going to be awhile until we learn more. A teaser aired at the Spike VGAs which is embedded after the break, but aside from setting the tone it doesn’t tell much.

John is what you might call something of a badass. When he's not writing about games or playing them, he's playing in the Kansas City band "Documentary" and drinking as many different beers as often as he can. He's a huge comic nerd in the best sense of the term, with a particular love for the Creator Owned movement.
